The only thing I can continue is CrossFit!

30ies, CrossFit 2/week

Back in 2013 I succeeded with a very strict diet at a training gym. I went from 106kg down to 70kg and from 30% to 15% body fat within 3 months. 

Unfortunately it was unsustainable for several reasons (mainly logistics and finances). I failed to continue with the program and gained all my weight back. Even though I tried other gyms, I just couldn’t continue on my own. 

That was when a friend introduced me to Crossfit.

At first I was really worried about CrossFit, because I was shy, but I had a great time since there were other beginners just like me. Furthermore, the CrossFit members share their enthusiasm, especially during partner WODs. It's awesome!

I joined CrossFit Kyoto back in 2017.

The best thing about CrossFit Kyoto is its incredible diversity: There are several generations (the ages range from teens to eighties) and several nationalities train together. People from everywhere in Asia, Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, even as far as Tahiti and Brazil (and sometimes their Japanese is very good!)

Members encourage, praise and challenge each other, not only during training but also before and after the workout. The community is great, the ambience comfortable and we members feel at home here. 

I believe this is thanks to the hospitality of the staff Ela, Russell and Tatsuro, and even though Kyoto is an international tourist destination, they have created a borderless and cozy atmosphere. So please come visit! A lovely smile will welcome you (^^)( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) 

I have realized that the most important thing is to be able to continue with a fitness program.

If I had continued training before CrossFIt, I could have gotten results. However, the truth is that it is difficult for me to keep up a regular training routine on my own, despite the fact that I know there is no success without hard work. BUT, thanks to CrossFit Kyoto and its members I have overcome that.

I am excited to have achieved consecutive personal records (PR) thanks to advice from the CF Kyoto coaches, the senior members and also the push from junior members.

Finally I really appreciate Russell, Ela, Tatsuro and the many members at CrossFit Kyoto whom I respect. I look forward to new encounters every time!
