What CrossFit Kyoto is about

CrossFit Kyoto has been certified with CrossFit HQ in the USA since 2011 and currently offers small group fitness classes for all ages and levels of ability as well as ‘Strength,’ ‘Weightlifting’ and ‘Spartan Race’ specialty options, plus monthly Yoga for additional mobility and balance practice. 

This wide range of classes makes coaching super interesting, highly challenging and fun for both the trainer and the members.


Who we need


We are looking for CrossFit, PT and nutrition coaches who want to help our members build and maintain a consistent, effective exercise and nutrition practice for the long haul i.e. focused on sustainability over intensity
(many members have been with us for more than 8 years).




Work with one of the most experienced CrossFit Coaches in Japan (CF-L3 qualified since 2017) in a business established in 2011 (the 3rd CF box in Japan) In an International community and foreign owned business 

Enjoy the opportunity to quickly improve English, plus other languages and skills

Go from apprentice to coaching within 3-6 months with one-on-one training to get you there

In a meaningful job that brings positive, concrete change to people's lives 
Full time employment is a future career possibility




For coaching / coach training:
Conversational English

Business Level Japanese

Friendly and outgoing

Enjoy exercise and care about others' success as much as your own 

Over 20 years of age and a graduate (or expected to graduate) from a university or vocational school

At least 3 months CrossFit experience and CF L1 to join the CrossFit Kyoto Coach Apprentice Program

L2 holders receive priority for employment

For employment:
Computer and Social Media skills
1st Aid training
Able to work at least four hours a day, two days a week to start with
Schedule includes evenings and weekends

Able to work for CrossFit Kyoto for at least three years

Preferred skills:
Experience in the field of business

Photo and video shooting, editing skills
Nutritionist / registered dietitian qualifications
Yoga YRT qualification 


Coach Entry Options


  1. Apprentice (with CF L1 only)
  2. Experienced Part-time Coach (group class coaching experience, minimum CF L1 or other professional qualification e.g. OPEX CCP, NSCA-CPT)
